DNA BARCODING
Some DNA fragments are well conserved within a species and variable between species. These are the genetic markers of barcodes.

DNA metabarcoding is a barcoding extension using the NGS technology. It allows to identify blindly every species present in the sample.
– The universal markers allow to do botanical identification blindly on any sample.
– The specific markers created for a particular family or genus.
These markers allow a very precise attribution for these species, even until the sub species of interest.
Barcoding and Metabarcoding techniques are used routinely by the DNA Gensee team, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
