The University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble and DNA Gensee are pleased to invite you to the “Journées Végétales: Grenoble’s innovation for cosmetics”.
The University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble and DNA Gensee invite cosmetics industrial actors to the second edition of the “Journées végétales”. This meeting, dedicated to Grenoble’s innovations in the field of cosmetics, takes place in Grenoble and Villar d’Arène: day one on Saint Martin d’Hères’ campus, and then at the Jardin Alpin du Lautaret to discover a unique high-altitude biological station. The University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble, is an established scientific, technologic and medical university, renowned worldwide. The station alpine Joseph Fourier (UJF/CNRS), and the Jardin alpin du Lautaret are two essential tools for plant species preservation, study and research. The Lautaret site, a high-altitude biological station, is unique in Europe and has been recognized in 2012 as an National Infrastructure for biology and helth in the fields of ecosystem experimentations and analyses.
DNA GENSEE is a molecular biology laboratory whose activity aims to propose innovative genetic analyses allowing identification of plant species present in raw materials and final products, to cosmetics, nutrition and health manufacturers. DNA Gensee exploits patented genetic tools (patent by Université Joseph Fourier, coming from the Laboratoire d’Ecologie Alpine) to control authenticity and traceability using ADN. These analyses permit manufacturers to secure their sourcing, to prove the presence of plants declared during transformation processes or to obtain evidence of counterfeiting, etc.
